Jr academy
The Oranje FC Jr. Academy program is for our Under 7 through Under 10 age groups. In the 2025-2026 year, this will serve our boys and girls players born in 2016-2020. Players are assigned to a team based on birth year and ability level. Training focuses on a fun approach to learning the technical and foundational skills that we find necessary to set a player up for enjoying the sport and setting a high ceiling for their development.

The Fall 2025 ORANJE FC Jr Academy TEAM PLACEMENT offers an engaging introduction to the program, enabling coaches to evaluate the roster while providing your child with the opportunity to secure a position on a team for 2025.
Jr Academy Season
Fall Season: September–Early December
Spring Season: February–Early May
Each season consists of a combination of training, organized scrimmages, league games and tournaments. Our teams have two training sessions per week with an option to attend additional training programs.
League play is consistently scheduled for Saturday’s with kickoff times ranging from 9am – 4pm. It is common for our teams to play two games on a Saturday. While Sunday games are not common for our Jr Academy, it is possible to have
a small amount of games played on Sunday’s.
Our game format is different for the two different age groups within our Jr Academy:
- Under 7 and 8 Teams
- 5v5 (4 + Goalkeeper)
- Under 9 and 10 Teams
- 7v7 (6 + Goalkeeper)

BEFORE AND AFTER JR ACADEMY
Our Jr. Academy program stops after the U10 season for our players. We find this to be the appropriate age to add a little more to our players’ soccer education and experience. For the players that want to continue playing competitively, they’re invited to try out for our Select program. Select tryouts take place immediately after the conclusion of their U10 spring season.
Since we begin our Jr. Academy program at the under-7 age group, we often have players interested in starting their soccer journey at a younger age.
